Introducing the Oil Studies ...

These are usually a 'try-out' for a larger more finished piece...but small and freshly painted. So if you have wanted a ‪#‎JohnDonaldson‬ ‪#‎original ‬look no further.

Here we have three new mild Winter studies. The ones on the left and right are the hamlet of Bow just half a mile downstream from the artist's studio which is three quarters of the way round John and Sandi's daily walk. The study in the middle is the coast walk at East Prawle, ‪#‎Devon‬ ‪#‎Prawle‬ was the very first place John painted when we moved here forty years ago. He set up his easel on the low cliffs and painted the grey-green sea and multi-coloured rocks several times in our first Winter in the ‪#‎SouthHams‬. All three are available here
